Clean, good looking and easy to use websites

Image: HTMLI have been making websites for about a year now.
When making a website for myself or for somebody else i aim to make one that’s easy to use but looks
awesome at the same time. All of my websites are coded using valid XHTML and CSS. The possibilities are endless, whether the website is just for blogging or a big company, it doesn’t matter.

No words left? Take a photo.

Image: HTMLNo words left ? Can’t describe what you feel ? Take a photo, a picture tells more than a thousand words.
Taking photos is just one of my hobbies, but i like it so much i’m thinking to follow a study in
photography.

webdesign3I've been very, very busy lately. I am working on a website with 4774 pages, which all have to be imported to the new website. Besides working on websites i also have to start studying my arse off becuase i will have my first batch of exams next week ( Thursday ).

As i told earlier i'm working on a website with 4774 webpages ( No i'm serious ). The website will be used by my computer science class. The reason i remade the entire website was because their current one is just plain ugly. It's made in Frontpage, it's codes date back to 1892 and the design is just aweful. Perhaps the worst of all, it doesn't includes a search function.
To give you an idea of what i am talking about i posted the links of both the old and the new website below.

Old website

New website ( Still in development )

I will update this site somewhere this weekend, for now i have to get back to my homework and the website

Projects and chaos

articlesA few days ago i redesigned the templates for both my school and Leemans ( hard- and software company ).
I wasn't satisfied with both, especially not with the one i made for Leemans ( It was called "Awesome Orange" )
I also made mayor changes to the template i was making for my school, i didn't like the first one, it was too simplistic and because that website will get about 1000 visits per day i have to show off  my skills :P
You can see both designs in my gallery, in the sub gallery called "clients".

Making new designs wasn't the only thing i did the past few weeks ( which is a shame really ).
As you might know i am currently in the fifth and final form of my school and this year we have to do a project for school. Many people are doing research on, for example, game addictions.

Me and 2 friends decided we didn't want to do a research, we wanted to do something different so therefore we decided we would do our project about an Audio tuner and a metronome for the mobile phone.

The main idea was that we would integrate an Audio tuner and a metronome into a cell phone using Java Micro edition, however our teacher said this wasn't enough, so we came with a brilliant idea: Let's turn it into a hi-fi set. So we did, we split up in groups of 2, i am currently programming both applications ( it's one app actually ) and the 2 other guys are making a speakerset and some other cool stuff we'll attach to the cell phone. I will upload a BETA version as soon as it's released.

Image: UpdateSome major updates have been applied today.
I made a new template based on the Pro Black theme i was previously using, the theme is called Pro Orange ( how original ).
I also managed to fix the dropdown menu for IE, added some extra levels ( it can support up to 4 child levels i believe ) and i somehow fixed the gallery, don't ask me why but it works in IE the way it should.

Today was also the last day of my autumn holidays so tomorrow will be hell, and what better than to start your first day with an hour extra because i forgot to take something to my Dutch class about 1,5 week ago, won't be finished too late though, school still ends at 14:15 for me so it doesn't matters that much.
I was supposed to take around 30 pictures during my holidays ( for school ) however i simply couldn't be bothered doing it, have to take them this week as they have to be printed before Saturday, i did manage to take some other pictures which i'll be uploading the coming days.

In the mean time, have a look at the following website, it's truly awesome : Click me!

Finished work

Today i managed to make a design for Leemans hard- & software, which went faster than expected.
I also managed to finish the design for w2informatica and i even managed to code it, still waiting for the owner's reply.

Other news, i fixed the dropdown menu, it's working with Firefox 3.0.3, Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 6, however i did not found out what was causing IE6 to completely mess up the gallery page, it's probaly due to the Javascript used for the gallery ( FancyBox ), not going to change it so IE6 users should upgrade to a decent browser.
I made a special page for Internet Explorer 6 users telling them what to do if they want to view my website and are willing to download a better browser, this page can be found in the Quick menu to the right.
